Christmas in the Park Performance
The Shuford kindergartners and 1st graders will sing at Conover’s annual “Christmas in the Park” celebration.  Both grade levels are singing several songs together.  These are the plans for performance:

Tuesday, Dec. 2 - 6:15 p.m. - “Christmas in the Park”

The program begins at 6:30 p.m., but the students need to get in place at 6:15 p.m.  The performance takes place under the gazebo in the park across from the Conover police station.  Please bring your child to meet the Shuford teachers in the area behind the gazebo on the walking track, watch the performance, and pick him/her up from the teacher immediately after the Christmas Tree lighting.

Dress for this performance  - warm clothes.  They need to look like Christmas carolers:  coats, scarves, gloves, etc., as needed - depending on the weather.

Wacky-Tacky Day
Shuford celebrated National Mix it Up Day on Wednesday, November 5th.  On this day, students in 3rd - 5th grade were "mixed up" at lunch and asked to sit with different students.  This day is part of our anti-bullying programming and encourages kids to make connections with those who are different from them.  Everyone was invited to dress wacky-tacky on Wednesday in order to "Mix it Up"!
