Track Dedication
On Thursday, May 21st at 1:30pm, N-CCS staff members, students, leaders, Board of Education members, and community supporters gathered at Shuford Elementary to dedicate the school’s track to retired PE teacher, Mr. Tim H. Elrod, II.

Vote for your Favorite Shuford Grant
Shuford Elementary School had­­­ 4 NCCS Innovation Grant recipients this year.  Please take a moment to view all 4 videos and cast your vote!  You may only vote only once and voting ends 5:00 PM on June 1st. 

The winner gets an additional $1000 in grant funding for next school year.  Below are our Shuford grant recipients to look out for:

Blended Learning Team Visits NCCAT
Our Shuford Blended Learning Team visited NCCAT, May 11th through the 14th, in Ocracoke, NC.  Their time at NCCAT was spent on working on a school plan for blended learning next year. 

What is NCCAT?  NCCAT is a place where teachers “advance teaching as an art and a profession” through a wide range of learning opportunities.  NCCAT keeps good teachers teaching.
